Kanye West & The Gap Form A New Partnership
It would seem that Kanye West has arrived at another level in the design game with regards to his Yeezy brand. On Friday, he shared a tweet to declare that his brand and the well known clothing company Gap have a new partnership.

The New York Times, said in a post that Kanye and the Gap have partnered for a 10 year deal for the “Yeezy Gap,” apparel line. The retailer says that the clothing line will make its introduction during the first half of 2021.
Someone acquainted with the negotiations apparently said that they settled upon the arrangement, which begins this month, with the choice to renew after five years. The Yeezy design studio, under Kanye’s bearing, plans to make a “modern, elevated basics for men, women, and kids at accessible price points.” Kanye will also have an input on how the clothing will be displayed inside of the Gap stores as well as online.
The partnership with Yeezy and the Gap comes when the organization, which likewise owns Old Navy and Banana Republic begun to see a decrease in sales. The brand, which likewise has been affected due to the coronavirus, has apparently struggled within the past few years.
For those who may not know, as a teenager, Kanye West worked at the Gap, and back in 2015, during an interview, he talked about his interest in working with the brand and becoming “the Steve Jobs of the Gap.”
